Perhaps, Governor P can fund a test-run of the program from his personal wallet.

Minimum wage will still be $0 no matter what laws they pass. Unless you count “voting for democrats” as a job in which case current laws provide a “wage” above the minimum they want.

I don’t have problem with minimum wage. The problem is they will raise the welfare maximums to go along with it.

Simple! By limiting the maximum allowable, all excess can be re-distributed to provide for a minimum allowable.

I’m (sincerely) expecting some “enterprising” Democrat to eventually propose making layoffs illegal.

Trump’s critics don’t realize that Democrat state governments are undercutting the positive effects of his policies at the federal level. He needs to point that out.

He is a billionaire. Some crumbs paid by others for the little people. Of course the net impact will be fewer jos. Employers will have higher overhead. They will need to decrease expenses and/or pass the costs on to the consumer.

So, in one statement, he nullified all the money the former governor of New York spent to attract business to the state.

The raise is in effect government induced wage inflation that causes New York to become even less competative on a national and more importantly, an international level..

Raising minimum wages and phasing out welfare would be the best thing possible. I would say tie MW increases to “core” inflation, core inflation is a joke anyway.

Anyone else from Illinois notice how real estate prices have been on the rise in border states? Home and building lots in Indiana in our area are up 30%
