Minimum wage will still be $0 no matter what laws they pass. Unless you count “voting for democrats” as a job in which case current laws provide a “wage” above the minimum they want.
I don’t have problem with minimum wage. The problem is they will raise the welfare maximums to go along with it.
Simple! By limiting the maximum allowable, all excess can be re-distributed to provide for a minimum allowable.

Trump’s critics don’t realize that Democrat state governments are undercutting the positive effects of his policies at the federal level. He needs to point that out.
He is a billionaire. Some crumbs paid by others for the little people. Of course the net impact will be fewer jos. Employers will have higher overhead. They will need to decrease expenses and/or pass the costs on to the consumer.

The raise is in effect government induced wage inflation that causes New York to become even less competative on a national and more importantly, an international level..
Raising minimum wages and phasing out welfare would be the best thing possible. I would say tie MW increases to “core” inflation, core inflation is a joke anyway.
