President Trump is sitting down with top Democrats Chuck Schumer and Nancy Pelosi to discuss his immigration plans on Tuesday. His top priority is to obtain funding for his border wall, not least of which is necessary, he argues, because of the migrant caravan headed to the U.S.'s southern border. It was clearly on his mind this morning.

I have to think Trump’s odds of getting funding for the wall from those two vermin are about 0%. If he manages to get them to agree to any funding at all, and not have to give amnesty to the millions of illegal aliens already here, it would be nothing short of a miracle.

Laws made for us, not by us.

Trump may get them to agree, but then they’ll reroute the money elsewhere. Or put so many strings on it that Trump will have no choice but to veto it.

Seems like his chances of getting a wall from the Democrats is equal to what his chances were of getting a wall from the Republicans.

God bless him for trying, and God give him the courage to do it in any way he can.

Put the blame where it belongs, on Ryan and McConnell. The Republicans have had a majority in both houses since Trump was inaugurated. Funding bills can’t be filibustered. Yet Ryan and McConnell have not funded the wall. If Pelosi doesn’t do it then the Republicans have nobody to blame but themselves.

Good point. There never was much support for funding the wall by the ‘Pub-controlled House. Likewise when the ‘Rats start running things. This meeting is just for optics, to show that Trump is trying to work with the ‘Rat leadership. When things starting hitting the fan later at least he can point to this and say well, I tried to wok with them, but...

“..Ryan and McConnell have not funded the wall. If Pelosi doesn’t do it then the Republicans have nobody to blame but themselves.”

The Republicans have done NOTHING to represent us. I never expect Democrats to do so, but Republicans are voted for by US to DO specific things on our behalf.

Yet they rarely ever do.

Hang the traitorous despots. They’re as bad as Democrats in my opinion.

When the time came to protect Life, none of them did, they ran like cockroaches. Are these people worthy of my vote? no, they are worthy of my contempt.

That’s the Dims took over the house! Trump might as well have Dimocrats to beat on for the next 2 years instead of those in his own party.
