Not really sure why he would care one way or the other..as it doesn’t personally affect him?

Mitch is fighting for the big donors. He’s not on your side

“Should” is a rather statement for what direction President Trump’s initiative must take. The President is playing a strong game of “chicken” with the Democrat #Resist faction.

Nothing at all is wrong with what President Trump is doing. Put it in the same category of Kennedy staring down Khrushchev in the Cuban missile crisis. It was one of the more courageous things that JFK ever did in his short reign as President.

The other guy just blinked. Mission accomplished.

Mitch the bitch s going to override a veto, bet on it.

Trump can just sit on the bill for ten days. Force congress to come back out of session and try to override a veto. If congress is not in session at the end of tens day, the bill fails. To be honest, I don’t think there are enough senators to override his veto on wall funding. Maybe I am wrong, not unusual.

Some of us are wondering why Mitch McConnell wasn’t in the room, but the two dingbats Pelosi and Schumer were.

Because President Trump is smart. It was on national tv, hundreds of thousands of people saw President Trump STANDING UP TO the Dims. President Trump gets the glory and now McConnell gets the ridicule.

There has been 27.6 billion planned for US foreign aid compared to 47 billion in 2016 by Ogivitaway. Maybe McConnel can dig thru the foreign aid package and trim 20% off for the wall, say from central America, Mexico, cuba, Venezuela, middle east and most of Africa. At least 20% of these countries hate the US's guts but love the bucks.

US Aid planned 2019

“I will take the mantle. I will be the one to shut it down. I’m not going to blame you for it,”

pelosi and schumer went into that meeting thinking there would be a cave from the President... the gop always caves and it’s hard to break a kid who has always had his way. He has to learn it ain’t gonna’ go on as usual.. he has to get the message and realize it’s a new ballgame.

We have a fighter.. after all these years of weak and wimp... we have a man who will go into a fight to win!

Thank you, Mr. President!!!

McConnell later warned that forcing a shutdown would be a political mistake for either side in the battle over funding for a wall on Mexico's border.

Mister McConnell's cowardly squeamishness will be his indelible legacy.

He has been successfully terrorized by the lefist media, and he's not a strong border person, anyhoo.

Did Mc-TURD-le ever get the rest of POTUS’s nominations through, as per his “deal with the Democrats” a couple of months ago?

Will Mc Connell ever grow a pair? It’s a good thing he’s never been in a battle. He’d crawl into hole to save his skin. PHFFTT Politicians can talk and talk and seldom accomplish anything they talk about.

He didn’t say “accept the blame.”

*************

He injected the word ‘blame’ into the conversation and clearly stated he would take the mantle, which is generally understood as taking responsibility. There was no reason for him to go there. The point is, never sound apologetic when you’re defending the country.

From looking at gov’t shutdowns, it seems the most affected people are the politicians and some gov’t workers...

Go ahead and shut ‘er down....

“McConnell saw his party take a political hit in 2013 when House conservatives provoked a 16-day government shutdown”

Such a hit that the R took both chambers the next election. Lol.
