The whole concept of Green House gases being responsible for increased temperatures comes from analyzing data from Venus. It was not at the theoretic temperature but higher so some genius decided it was because of GG. The idea was picked up by the Goebbelsmedia several decades later and became another means of the Left to seize power.
Not only “unintended consequences”, we have the right to chastise the Al Gore Fan Club for heating up the planet with wind farms that prevent us from using coal and petrol products that keep our planet cool.
Climate-change been beddy-beddy good to Algore!

I know a little bit about global warming. It is happening. CO2 is a warming gas in the troposhere. It is not a crisis. It is an excuse for more socialism.
That said, there is an obvious and predicted reason for stratospheric cooling. The stratosphere is heated both by infrared light from the sun *AND* by infrared radiation from the earth, particularly at night. Increased CO2 in the lower atmosphere, the layer called the troposphere, reflects some of that infrared heat radiation back to earth so it does not reach the upper atmosphere, the stratospheric layer and above and therefore they cool off.
You also have to understand that all infrared is not equal. the atmosphere with CO2 reflects some wavelengths from the sun back into space and that energy never reaches earth. But the select wavelengths that reach the ground and warm it are transformed into heat wavelengths that CO2 reflects from the sun, except when those wavelengths come from the ground, they are reflected by the CO2 back to the ground.
I hope this real science does not get me banned ;-)
What real science? The Warren Report's Magic bullet theory makes more sense.
Be careful. I know enough to debate scientists on the science and you don’t.
My explanation of stratospheric cooling is perfectly clear but I can make it simpler. CO2 is like an overcoat on a cold day. If you put on another layer, you get warmer. But since less heat escapes your body, the air immediately outside your clothing gets colder. Does that work for you?
