Yes there is a difference between upper & lower atmosphere dynamics, but labeling CO2 as alarmists do is egregiously-wrong: Without CO2, much of the Earth would be a snowball with a narrow equatorial band exclusively supporting a mostly ice-free summer/spring ecosystem. This study essentially undermines all “global warming” research which claims that higher CO2 will cause runaway warming. Hogwash.
I never believed in the integrity of the ice core air sample data interpretation to begin with.

More importantly, without CO2, there would be no life on earth. And in that case, the temperature and geology would be utterly irrelevant.
