Solipsism: The idea that only one’s own mind is sure to exist. Anything outside of one’s own mind or experience is unsure, and may not even exist at all.
I wouldn't credit Ocasio-Cortez with the mental ability to adopt solipsism as a philosophy ... in fact, no politician could embrace a solipsistic philosophy by definition, especially a socialist! However narcissistic, pols depend on the existence of others to vote for and fund their agendas and spend a majority of their time sucking up to constituents.
I think either the writer meant sophistry/Sophism and got confused, or a twenty-something "headline writer" at Spectator got too cute by half. David Catron's article makes no mention of solipsism and he is old enough to know better, so I suspect the latter.
