“Broward police captain Jan Jordan told sheriff’s deputies to ‘stage’ and form a perimeter outside the shooting...... as students and teachers were being massacred inside. Jordan also denied deployment of two Rescue Task Force teams that had arrived. Three paramedics and 3-4 officers had rushed to the scene to help-—but Jordan denied them entry..... “

That bears repeating-—why isn’t SHE getting blamed?
.
It is common for a Congressman to secure federal monies for their district.
What part did W/S play in securing the $58 million bribes, er, I mean, tax dollars
Obama showered on Broward for keeping minorities off the arrest roles?
Can they account for the $58 million .....and the $800 million Sheriff's budget?
Affirmative action is a wonderful thing. (sigh)
.
You forgot - “generate revenue”.
“The murderer was not a trained combat veteran, a competitive shooter, or a hunter.”
And he had no way of knowing that.
The only thing he knew for sure is that the perp had a semiautomatic rifle with deep magazines. And he was shooting kids.
Sure he did. The Security monitor, Andrew Medina, IDed the murderer before he went into the building. He saw the murderer had a rifle case.
Medina was the one who went and picked up Scott Peterson, took him back to building 12, and showed him the doors the shooter went in.
If Medina told Scott Peterson the shooter had a rifle, he told him who the shooter was.
The murderer was well known to the security staff. Medina said this about the situation, on a taped, sworn interview, shortly after the killing. From the miami herald.com:
As soon as Cruz began walking "like on a mission" toward the building, Medina followed and began frantically texting fellow security guards. "We had a meeting about him last year and we said if there's gonna be anybody whose gonna come to this school and shoot this school up, it's going to be that kid," Medina told detectives on the day of the Feb. 14 shooting.Medina stated that when the murderer had been enrolled at the school they were "always watching him":
"Just crazy," Medina recalled of Cruz during the teen's time at Parkland. "And we always was watching him, you know. Like, it was one of those kids that we always kept an eye on."It is almost certain Peterson knew who he was up against.
Peterson had lousy or no training on active shooters. He probably did as he was trained to do.
Great comment!
Poseurs abound in all professions...Especially egregious in public safety officers like police and fire...
Peterson could have taken a desk or pension if he was afraid of actually doing his job...
We know this - but the lawsuit showcases that those who say we don’t need guns are also saying we shouldn’t be allowed any protections whatsoever...hard to say we don’t need to be able to protect ourselves while also claiming those with the guns, as part of their official duties as ‘public servants’, have no legal compunction to protect us either...
Well, it was a gun free zone.
My GAYDAR is off the charts!!!
His obligation was explicitly stated when he raised his right hand and pledged “to preserve, protect and defend”. I was a cop and when the feces impinged the rotary cooling device I had a partner or two freeze up on me. So imagine my disdain for someone who reneges on their oath.
