Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy noted he’s had “many spirited debates” on the House floor with Minority Whip Steny Hoyer – and Thursday was no exception.

In the midst of a heated argument about the looming threat of a government shutdown and funding for border security, McCarthy issued a blunt warning for the next majority leader.

Surely you jest. McCarthy has had years of opportunities to show some sense of gravitas. But the only thing he shows is gravity pulling him down to the lowest common political denominator. The man is the epitome of weakness and appeasement. Just another GOP empty suit.

I believe McCarthy was the Einstein who told the world that requiring Hillary Clinton to testify before Congress was just a great way to tarnish her before the election, meaning it had nothing to do with actually getting some facts about Libya. Meaning also that the effect of her questionable and deceitful testimony was neutralized and wasted as the press believably made her into a victim of gop partisan politics.
