Arizona GOP Sen. Kyl Will Resign Dec. 31: Republican governor will name a replacement

Sen. Jon Kyl will resign from the Senate before the start of 2019, the Arizona Republican said in a letter, leaving it up to the state’s GOP governor to appoint a successor until a special election is held in 2020.

Arizona Gov. Doug Ducey had appointed Mr. Kyl in September to fill the seat of the late GOP Sen. John McCain. Mr. Kyl had made clear at the time that he hadn’t committed to remaining in the Senate beyond the end of this session of Congress. In his resignation letter to Mr. Ducey, Mr. Kyl said he would resign before midnight on Dec. 31.

“I have concluded that it would be best if I resign so that your new appointee can begin the new term with all other senators in January 2019,” Mr. Kyl wrote in the letter delivered to Mr. Ducey’s office on Thursday.

Mr. Ducey’s office said in a statement Friday that a successor to Mr. Kyl would be announced in the near future. That person will serve until a 2020 election to fill the final two years of Mr. McCain’s latest term, which he won in 2016.

Expect another Cheap Labor Express stooge.
Kyl was one, too.
He supported the 2006 and 2007 amnesty attempts.

Senator Kyl is 76 y/o, so he’s probably ready to at very least, considerably lighten up his schedule.

So now, will the real replacement please stand up?

It’ll be McSally. That’s why she rolled over to Sinema so easily.

We are a about to find out why McSally was fine with the Rats stealing the election. She will get McTraitor’s seat and free to be the Rino that she is without owing Trump a thing.

Ward is my first choice and McSally is second. If it is McSally those who allow Sinema to wind because McSally was not pure enough for them can see which is more aligned with Trump’s agenda.

I will never forgive those that supported Sinema by not voting for McSally while voting for Ducey. They allow the fake news media to run false narratives and then are gullible enough to believe them.

Won’t be Ward. She is running for AZ GOP chairman.
