Martha McSally is an excellent choice.

“Kirk Adams”

Agree that he is the leading candidate for the seat.

It won’t be the losers in the 2018 Senate race, McSally, Ward, or Arpaio.

I would prefer Congressman Paul Gosar (AZ-4) as the Republicans will retain his seat without trouble. But I understand he is not a Ducey favorite.

Won’t be Ward. She is running for AZ GOP chairman.

Interesting.

Might have a chance with McCain gone and Flake discredited.

McCain spent a lot of time and money to tamp down the Tea Party and prevent Conservatives from taking control of he Arizona Republican party.

She’s the best we can hope for. Arizona has been a blue state for along time (McTurd, the closet democrat) and it’s fortunate they haven’t won the governorship or this seat would be gone to another socialist like Sinema.

McSally has at least been humbled. Maybe she will realize her biggest mistake was not embracing the MAGA agenda.

Sounds like some people here think McSally is too liberal.

It will either be McSally (a loser) or Meghan McCain (a real loser). No one ever lost a nickel betting on the stupidity of the entrenched Republican Party in Arizona.

I agree that McSally would b a good choice.
Moreover I agree with your dismay over those who refused to back Martha because she was not a pure enough conservative.

Ducey is likely to appoint a McCain female or his buddy Kirk.

I told Sen. Kyl that although I would absolutely hate it, I would be willing to step in.

Wishful thinking
If she has typical fighter pilot mentality
You can always tell a fighter pilot
You just cant tell them much

Why do you believe that anyone would see that current objective as a barrier to accepting a Senate appointment?

Why would Ward prefer the AZ GOP chair to the Senate?

Increasingly thinking it will be Kirk Adams.

Because she isn’t going to get the nod from Ducey. Ducey wants a Republican who he is tight with. Kelli, while not an opponent, never has been in Ducey’s orbit.

As I mentioned above, I settled on Adams as soon as his 21/15 exit from his staff position was announced with his comment that he was thinking his next role would be outside “State government”.

That wasn't the point at all, was it?

The point is that currently pursuing the AZ GOP chair is no barrier to accepting the Senate appointment.

Why not Joe Arpaio?

Why not?!

Because he's 86 and has lost his past two races. Appoint someone who can keep the seat in 2020.

Why can’t the Rs just change the rules (like the (Ds do) and make it where there has to be a vote by the people on who gets to be his replacement?

Ask Harry Reid...
I’m sure he has known for months who is going to be picked.
