The Confederacy was an unapologetic Christian country that respected private property, believed in the free market and thought governments should be limited. Those states seceded to preserve those values and get themselves out of the clutches of a growing federal monster.
If the Confederacy had won the war, more states would have joined it. Fedzilla would have been strangled in its cradle.

Roy should ask former Missouri Coach Gary Pinkel what it was like standing with his players. He was ousted by MU and the school went through about 4 years of racial tension. Enrollment dropped and MU became a institution that was shunned by most Missourians.
