What “rare victory”? Kushner is kicking ass all over the globe.

I am all for criminal justice reform. I may be in the minority of Freepers but stand with Trump and Kushner. We’re too hard on crimes like drugs (willing seller and buyer, addiction notwithsstanding) and too soft on violent crime. The real problem is money, as ever. Take the money out of drugs and the murder rate and robbery/burglary rates will plummet. Prisons have become schools for small time crooks to learn big time crime.

We have 3 tiers of justice, one for the regular guy, one for the rich, and the powerful are above it all committing crimes with glee. I’ve lost all respect, and I know being a cop is a tough, underpaid, underappreciated job. Want cops and the law to be respected? Then change the laws. Don’t use cops for revenue enhancement. Don’t fill prisons with the non-violent. Go after the people who are real threats to the life and safety of innocent people, and shake down people on parole and probation to make sure they stay on the straight and narrow. And stop letting the abuses of power at the top to go on without justice being served.

Anyone who wants to pursue a Federal criminal justice reform bill should start by eliminating about 95% of the crimes in the Federal criminal code. Giving more judicial discretion in sentencing for crimes that are already outside the constitutional authority of the Federal government is a joke.
