Gov. Cuomo made an early Friday inspection of an L-train tunnel that disrupted service, proudly released photos of himself underground and then came to the same conclusion the MTA has had for years: The looming shutdown will last 15 months.
Im not holding out hope, Cuomo said, when asked if he thinks the timeline can change. New Yorkers are willing to bear the expense and the burden of change, and they get that sometimes big projects are required, but they want to make sure that its really done right and it really has to be done,

"MTA lemme ask yall a question. how the fk did i wait a half hour for the L train only to get on and it be delayed? like who the fk was in front of us? tweeted a rider who uses the handle Lil Xan.

For once Lil' Andy is on the right page in fixing infrastructure, but as usual a bunch of whiny 'progressives' are against any progress at all.
Heck, their beloved Mayor, Bill de Blasshole couldn't be bothered with helping to fix the subway ... he's on a personal quest to 'lead the revolution' .. or whatever it is he does ....
shutdown will last 15 months....HA!
...that’s 4 years minimum..
This will likely end up like the Big Dig in Boston. Just like Kennedy and Kerry shoved the cost onto the rest of the country, New York politicians will do the same thing on this project and the many that will follow. I have read that because of corruption in NYC the cost of doing subway work there is several times higher than other cities. Tell me I am wrong.
Just shut up and eat your dog food. Meanwhile pay your taxes and any increase that we deam necessary. Which is always.
What New Yorkers ‘say’...is that 400,000 people use the L-line daily...so it’s not a little problem. Basically, you will cram those 400,000 on new route, and probably increase their daily commute by 30 minutes minimum. I’ll also vouch that there’s almost no way this will all be wrapped up in 15 months. Something will occur, and this gets delayed another 12 months minimum. So it’s a big deal.
But hey....people and companies chose to base themselves out of the city and use their archaic subway line.
Question, how many New York City (not just residents) are currently running or contemplating a run for the 2020 Democrat Presidential Nomination? How many will campaign on the basis of good and efficient government during their times in New York office(s)?
What is he some kind of engineering expert with x-ray eyes? Like he had to ride the thing to see for himself?
Or publicity stunt.
Here’s a beauty of a quote from the Tyrant Governor: Im not going to pursue a project because we executed a contract. Well adjust the contract to fit the project we want to do.
Contemplate that one.
LOL......nice input. Your "Bill d Blasshole" is inspired.
Just wondering....do you have a "name" for the beloved Mayor's beloved wife?
The Odd Couple.
Publicity stunt - The MTA falls under his management so he needs to be able to fool people he is involved and say "I looked into it myself." PR stunts are all he's good for and look for more as he ramps up his PR machine leading up to 2020.
Ain’t Socialism wonderful.
Except if you are the one living under it.
You are correct...I have a friend who works customs at Port Newark...he tells me that decided to rework a certain intersection there. It took them over 6 years to complete...he says the traffic lights look pretty.
It took 14 months to build the Empire State Building. In 1930. During the depression.
It’s not the evidence at hand, it’s the seriousness of the charge
You mean that’s not Garrett Morris?
Garrett Morris
...LOL

Ugly comes to mind....
I read that she and Cotex have formed a mental health agency to study us.
I imagine the results will be lobotomies for all that object to them.
Yep - and maybe longer if they discover some mutated rats that need their habitat protected....
