The mainstream media's treatment of a young girl's death while in the custody of the Border Patrol is a case study in how the mainstream media control the national narrative and manipulate public opinion to advance their leftist agenda.
The purpose of flooding the internet and the airwaves with propaganda about the death and life of Jakelin Maquin isn't to edify or inform the public; it is to make Americans feel bad about enforcing any immigration laws at all. The real crime here isn't any wrongdoing on the part of the Border Patrol. The real crime, according to our Cultural Marxist overlords, is that the Border Patrol exists in the first place.
After all, it wasn't the Border Patrol that led this young child on a 2,000-mile trek over harsh terrain. It wasn't the Border Patrol who failed to provide her with water and vital nutrients. No, that was the doing of her own father. But he was a good guy, you know. He just wanted a "better life" for himself and his (now deceased) child.
Never mind that this argument from self-interest is the argument of every single drug-dealer, thief, and criminal since the dawn of time. In fact, the argument from self-interest isn't even a moral argument. If self-interest could, all by itself, justify an action morally, virtually any action would be justified. After all, it is rare that people deliberately harm themselves. "I murdered my boss, but they told me I had to do whatever it took to get that promotion! I raped that beautiful young woman, but I'm finally going to have a son!"
Not much of a moral argument, is it?

Why now? Hundreds, thousands?, tens of thousands? of people of all ages have died crossing the border over the years.
I think that I know the answer — because this girl is a political pawn to be played. Shame on them.

Why do we only hear about young women that go missing when they’re adorable?
BUT... From various sources... a “healthy” 7 yo jakelin leaves her home in Raxruha, Guatemala with her father on 12/01. They leave behind mom, 2 brothers (ages 9 and 5) and a baby girl. Five days later, on 12/06, they turned themselves over to border patrol in antelope wells, nm. The father said they were not part of the caravan, he paid human smugglers, that they travelled by bus most of the way, they were dropped at the border and walked 1 1/2 hrs, they never lacked food or water.
You can't have political theater without a few props. Dead children are the dems favored props i.e. Sandy Hook or any number of other catastrophes.
This pawn’s death says little or nothing about our country. It speaks volumes about the girl’s home country, her irresponsible parents, and the enablers who create the attractive nuisance that draws parasites like carrion draws crows.
Yet, they pretend to be the caring people.
As long as abortion is legal and encouraged any discussion on the death of innocent youngsters is moot.

It says nothing about our country.
Our country was not responsible for the child being there or dying.
All of this publicity about this one child and in the past month I read about 2 cases of horrific child abuse right here in the good old USA-———not a peep of outrage over those 2 kids,and one of them was a baby.
Way down deep these idiots are GLAD that this immigrant child died———more fuel for the anti-Trump fire.
