There are only so many people who can really do the math required to be an engineer. Pushing marginally skilled people into engineering does not mean they can do the math.
Remember the bridge that came crashing down on the roadway that killed a bunch of people? That’s what happens when you get people in a field of business that have no idea what they are doing.
