How much is the going rate for a Pete Nelson treehouse?
I remember when the Bonny Doon winery was still up in the mountains. Bunch of hippies who made some pretty decent wine.
You need a treehouse when youve got money to burn.
Or money to employ people.
wonderful....more frivolity for our elite rich to waste..
This is just the cost of the treehouse. Add in installation costs on to the base price along with the cost of the lot on which it will reside.
I agree with you!!!
If a bidnessman or bidnesswoman has an idea and they employ skilled blue collar craftsmen to build something for a profit,
....
I call that WINNING!!!
Will Feider come out and wash the windows for you? They will quickly moss over.
Couldnt you just build a 1000 Square Foot geodesic dome home on the ground and be done with it?! Build your dome on the top of a hill if you have to look down at the Earth. Geez, it is as if everybody is trying to pretend they are living inside a Christmas Ornament. Oh wait. I guess a snow globe(dome home) is a Christmas Ornament. Well I guess a 1000 sq. Foot Geodesic Dome Home would be more practical and cost effective to boot. With the money saved from a dome home they could build an elevator to take the kids on up to the higher elevations.
Bonny Doon winery. It sounded so cool I looked it up. It’s still in operation I think. Does this look like the same place?

is that a non-gfi outlet next to the sink?
Geodesic domes aren’t all that they’re cracked up to be. Some of the early avid proponents turned against the idea after long-term experience with them.
I was once crazy about the idea - until I met someone who actually lived in one over years. They leak, and aren’t nearly as energy efficient as ‘they’ say.
I still think it’s a good idea, but needs a lot of work.
I love the idea of things like this, and love looking at them as well as all the ‘tiny houses’; but couldn’t live in one. My life is too big ;-)
Thanks, this looks interesting & I swear I remember this wine.
You get a faster turnover to the next renter that way.
I’m shocked.
I lived in a geodesic while in college in Carbondale Il, when Bucky Fuller taught there, even took one of his classes. Domes do leak and furniture is not practical.
I’m pretty sure they didn’t build this thing near Paradise, CA.
Like ants under a magnifying glass.
That’s the place. To be more accurate, the winery is still probably up in the mountains, but I think the tasting room has moved down into Santa Cruz.
