And I don’t begrudge a child star needing to “break out” of the child star role by getting a bit “edgy”.

I'm a child of the 60s.The Beatles first hit the airwaves when I was 13.IMO the Beatles were greater than the sum of their parts but Lennon,McCartney and Harrison *did* have talent.But it's been written more than once that Lennon was a horrid individual.

Bad singing doesn’t make a bad experience in my opinion though. Natalie Merchant for instance is a terrible singer.
