Whatever motivates a person to think that open borders and unlimited migration would be a good thing, whether it’s naive idealism or cynical foreknowledge of revolutionary consequences, there simply is no justification for such a policy and the Democrats should be forced in the next election to say yes or no, either they support open borders or they admit to playing political games and that they would not handle things that much differently.
Open borders with no limitations would mean that a huge percentage of the earth’s population would choose to live in developed countries whether it was the U.S.A., Canada, western Europe, Australia, New Zealand, some parts of South America and a few other choice locations. None of these countries have an open border policy although some European countries have allowed considerable refugee immigration in recent years. If any of these countries actually said, “hey, just come on in here, if you can get here, and in fact we will help you,” by this time in 2019 their populations would double and they would have a huge social catastrophe exploding (on a scale that would dwarf current problems).
The U.S.A. would be the biggest magnet of all these countries, or equally large, and an open border policy would probably mean mass mobilization of populations in countries to the south as well as around the world, just as a speculative guess, fifty million economic refugees (for want of a better term) would arrive, almost all with few if any job skills, none speaking English, except for a few terrorists implanted in their midst.
This would clearly be an untenable situation and the economy could collapse within months.
The current Democratic policy seems to be, “okay we know all that, but so what?”
If they can bring in enough bogus voters, who agree with the so what part, then they can win elections, and most of them are rich enough to hide behind walls and gates while the average schmuck has to fend for themselves. This could be described in the real world as treason.
