It’s only gambling if you do it wrong.
Look at all the indexes over a longer period of time.
Anyone that calls that gambling is a sore loser that tried to get rich quick and jump in and out of the market.
There really is no secret or magic to investing. Positive cash flow, saved, into instruments that produce net positive to inflation returns, with time and patience equals profit. To manage the risk, very effectively diversify and when any buying decision is made, let it be made with value in mind, not exuberance or greed.
If you can do the above, you make money. Period, nuff said.

I absolutely find it hilarious how some Freepers think they “KNOW” the market.
I know hundreds of people professionally in finance and none of us claim to KNOW. Any of our colleagues that claimed to have KNOWN the market, don’t have a license any more...
Even funnier, not a one of these Freepers could probably even pass the Series 7, probably not even score 50%! But yeah, these people KNOW the market...they howl when it acts opposite of how they want it to...they assign absurd and false reasons for any move up or down...
Of course many of these Freepers wear the gold bug or bit coin hat when it suits them too...
Folks, be extremely careful listening to these purveyors of falsehood crap here and on websites that will dazzle you with stats, charts, figures and convincing methods of fear or greed. There isn’t a one of them that are credible.
If you wanna make money investing, simply follow the Occam’s Razor approach of save, invest, seek value, diversify, and be patient.
The above sounds simple huh? Rarely have I ever seen a person do that. Usually there is at least 2-3 steps missing.
