Just heard Joe Digenova about 30 minutes ago on the Howie Carr Show (out of Boston).He was surprised and disappointed by Judge Sullivan today.He said that while he was a young federal prosecutor years ago judges would never have allowed him to get away with what Judge Sullivan is allowing Mueller & Pals to get away with.

Your post just made me think of the outlandish possibility that Judge Sullivan went overboard today for one of these two reasons:
1. So he'd have grounds to recuse himself from the case before the March sentencing hearing is held.
2. To give Flynn strong grounds to appeal any sentence he gets.
