There is no other baker in all of Colorado? The Gaystapo is targeting this poor gentlemen. Used to be this would have gotten a plaintiff in trouble...but that was in America, not Amerika.

He should have baked the cake. The first action was a refusal to participate in a homosexual wedding which he has religious objections to. But the transgender person has already been born and this is simply acknowledging the anniversary of the thing’s birthday. Is Phillips objecting to birthdays?

It’s a cake not of his real birthday but a celebration of his re-birthday when whoever it is changed gender to their perceived sexual orientation instead of their birth sex. There is no reason in the world a true professing Christian should be compelled to apply his talents to create his artistry in celebration of something he does not believe in. That’s involuntary servitude.

Socialists do not obey courts or legislation. They keep pushing the agenda until they find a sympathetic court.

If not, they will destroy you personally, financially and, if necessary, physically.

Lawfare. Pure and simple.

If this judge can’t see it then this cr@p will continue.

Seems like double jeopardy to me. It’s essentially the same case the baker already won.

But a different plaintiff and different event. They're going to gang up on this guy until the Supreme Court makes a definitive ruling on what's permissible and what isn't.

The baker is clearly being harassed. He should consider guerilla warfare. Outsource the cake to Safeway and add a 25 percent handling fee for his trouble.

I suspect that the "birthday cake" is really a transgender cake - from the article:

He referred to the situation as an “obvious setup.” On June 26, 2017, the same day that the Supreme Court agreed to hear the same-sex wedding cake case, Autumn Scardina asked Masterpiece to create a birthday cake — pink on the inside, blue on the outside — to mark the seven-year anniversary of her gender transition.

That makes a bit of difference, no?

A recent NYC bar that ejected a man wearing a Trump hat brought the Mayor and Governor to state that political discrimination is lawful. That sounds like an excellent screening process, as long as the customer is truthful if they can’t provide their voting record.

different plaintiff and different event.

This isn't like a criminal case where each individual crime is tried as a separate offense.

This is a case of principle, which the court has already decided in the baker's favor. The underlying question of whether a person can be complelled to render services to another, for some purpose which violates their religious convictions, was settled.

Dragging the baker through another court case which is substantially the same as the first case, is a gross misuse of our justice system, and little more than waging 'lawfare' against the deep seated beliefs of the American people.

“This is anarcho-tyranny lawfare.”

No, it’s anarcho-tranny lawfare.

No, this is a civil case where separate plaintiffs file on separate alleged offenses.

Dragging the baker through another court case which is substantially the same as the first case, is a gross misuse of our justice system, and little more than waging 'lawfare' against the deep seated beliefs of the American people.

Entirely possible. But unless the Supreme Court issues a definitive ruling, and not the narrow ruling like they did last time, it may well keep happening.

No, you’re not stupid and we’re all guilty of reading just the excerpt. ;^)

The scenario you mentioned with Ken and Barbie as absurd as it sounds could become a reality in the not too distant future.

I just read that Mattel has met with some nuts who want them to start making same sex marriage Barbie sets and I guess they’re considering it.

I’m getting too old to even try to register the craziness that many people are coming up with now.
