The Colorado Civil Rights Commission should be liable for harassment of this man after the SCOTUS ruling over a same sex wedding cake.

Seems like double jeopardy to me. It’s essentially the same case the baker already won.

Exactly. This is a tyrannical government harassment of a citizen.

these “civil rights commissions” are anything but.

They are socialist just-us activists using tax dollars to wage war in the courts.

Houston’s so-called “bathroom bill” ran on for 30 pages and had such an un-elected panel in the works.

Sounds like a another ‘class’ is deliberately out to hurt this poor guy. Sounds like harassment to me.

What a**holes...

Because of Anthony Kennedy, the last SCOTUS ruling on this was incredibly narrow, and made it inevitable that this Baker would be charged again. Hopefully, the replacement of Kennedy by Kavanaugh will lead to a better opinion.

Wrong approach here by the baker
He should simply screen his clients by who they vote for
Given the number of businesses refusing service to Trump associates and voters, this has not only become legit but appauded by libs

Im guessing the deviants requesting his pastries are democrat voters and therefore he can refuse to serve them

It’s absusive. Leave the man alone to live his life the way he wants, just like others want to live their lives the way they want. Of course this is a set-up - they went right back to the same baker to harass him for basically the same issue, with a slight twist of pretext. It’s unethical, abusive, just wrong. And personally I don’t care what people want to do to their own bodies, call themselves whatever they want, wear any clothes they want - just let everyone else enjoy the same. Trangender, straight, gay, bi, swingers, adulterers, virgins etc all have the same right to their beliefs and freedom from coercive action contrary to their will.

And I don’t even know why this is still being argued. I don’t know why it was argued in the first place. Mohammed Ali was granted concientious objector status to the Vietnam War in a UNANIMOUS Supreme Court ruling. If you can conscientiously object to being drafted, you sure has heck should be able to consceintiously object to baking a cake!

The worst of it is that this is just “you can’t fight city hall” type crap. They don’t care it’s not their time or money - they will intimidate and coerce people without care what it does to their lives. Until there are severe penalties paid by those who abuse their power these things will never change.

Congress should change the sovereign immunity laws. Time to force agents of the government to think twice about civil rights violations.

The article says.. "Mr. Campbell faulted the state for focusing on the colors instead of the message, arguing that punishing Mr. Phillips for declining to participate in a transgender-transitioning celebration would violate his First Amendment rights."

Exactly.

Start filling complaints against this activist judge. Supremes have already ruled. No Cakes for LGBTQZFT....unless the baker chooses to.

I would ignore anyone with a new case and proclaim that the Supremes have already heard the case. Then I would sue the living hell out of that Colorado commission.

He should find the greediest lawyer in Colorado, and tell him he can have something like a 90% cut of any judgement.
Make him hungry!

Then I would hire a forensic accountant, and a private investigator and go after the commission members and their personal lives. Find their fraudulent college degrees, find their resume lies, find the people they are having affairs with, get their public expense accounts and start digging.

He should have baked the cake. The first action was a refusal to participate in a homosexual wedding which he has religious objections to. But the transgender person has already been born and this is simply acknowledging the anniversary of the thing’s birthday. Is Phillips objecting to birthdays?

I think he not only should have baked the cake but he missed a tremendous PR opportunity by doing so. Gotta be wise as a serpent sometimes.
