Does that include the post office?
Doesn't look like it.
Per OPM: "The President has issued an Executive order excusing executive branch non-Postal Service employees from duty on Monday, December 24, 2018, with pay and without a charge to leave, except those who, in the judgment of the head of the agency, cannot be excused for reasons of national security, defense, or other public need."
Although workers for the U.S. Postal Service are federal employees, the post office would remain open on Christmas Eve, according to its website. However, post office locations may close early, since Santa Claus has Christmas package delivery down pat. For that last-minute stamp, its best to check the hours of a local branch, because some locations will close as early as 12 p.m.
When are they ever open?
Right now the Post Office is on my bad side.
USPS says a certain and valuable package is still in NC at a sorting facility. Amazon’s tracking has had it a sorting center in my city as of two days ago. Nothing has changed.
It’s going to my UPS Store box where most everything else is coming in OK or appears to.
