Not so sure that is accurate. The executive branch has the power to declare national emergencies and use funds to accomplish the goal. I could be off base here, but think about pandemics, enemy attacks, natural disasters.
Wondering why this is much different. Drugs/human trafficking/terrorism/disease could be declared national emergency.
I think there’s a bunch of low-information conservative voters who don’t understand the significance of midterm elections.
It won’t take decades to build a wall. A wall is nothing but a highway turned on it’s side.
1. If you are here illegally and we catch you, you go to jail.
2. If you are here illegally and have a job and we catch you, you and your employer go to jail.
3. If you are here illegally and rent or own a house/apt and we catch you, you and your lender/landlord go to jail.
Follow these and I'd bet there would be an uptick in self-deportations.

Dang right we need the military down there and we need a wall and we need men with guns, powerful guns, guarding those walls. We now have the Mexican cartels (wholly owned and subsidized by the Mexican government—or maybe the other way around—same difference) using aircraft to smuggle in aliens and drugs and possibly terrorists. This is war and will require a military response.

He has the authority but her defers to every federal judge in the country. If we were fighting world war II and about to invade France, a federal judge would stop us and president Trump would say, ok let’s wait for an appeal for the next year.

He did order to declassify and they delayed it and then President Trump backed down and stated after the election.
