Senate approves bill denying funds for border wall. Republicans in Senate vote against securing the border, against defending American, against Trump. None stood to back America and Trump.
You’d imagine the lame duck house would put their mark down, but hey, gotta show their belly when faced with nearly any confrontation.
This is an issue that can be won. There was no reason to put it off for two weeks after Bush died except to set up this exact scenario. A majority, including a majority of democrats, favor effective border control. If you don’t try to rally the people, then you won’t win. I know the President isn’t comfortable with scripted speeches, but that’s what’s needed here.. prime time address. Everyone will watch. I’d bet a hundred bucks we get rolled in February; which is about as hard as predicting it will get hot every July and cold every December. Read the article. See the merriment in the Senate.
