Putin: Voters' choices of Trump and Brexit 'disrespected'
BBC ^ | 12/20/18

Russia's President Vladimir Putin has accused the UK and US political classes of "disrespecting" the public by questioning the Brexit referendum and Donald Trump's election.

"They don't want to recognise [President Trump's] victory. That's disrespect of voters," Mr Putin said.

"It's the same in Britain: Brexit happened, but nobody wants to implement it."

The president's comments came at his year-end press conference in Moscow.

Russia's leader also said British Prime Minister Theresa May has no choice but to follow through with Brexit, as failing to do so would undermine UK democracy.

"She must enact the will of the people, expressed during the referendum," he said. "Or otherwise it is not a referendum at all: doing it over and over again if someone did not like it [the result]. Is it a democracy?"

I’m genuinely surprised nobody has called you a Putinista yet.

Of course he’s right. Everyone knows those two truths.

I won’t kiss up to the eastern or western plutocrats or their preferences in leaders. That includes Putin.

He’s right, but he doesn’t exactly hold free and fair elections at home.

Absolutely!

He’s as right as can be. Simply amazing that he can tell the truth that very few leaders in the West can seem to grasp.

*** I’m genuinely surprised nobody has called you a Putinista yet. ***

JimRob has disallowed name-calling per his thread the other night. It also applied to keywords like PutinsButtBoys.

I am surprised the Brits are so laid back about their betters telling them to get screwed. Oh, wait, our betters do the same thing here.

So...he can’t be dead-nuts correct because he’s Putin, not one of your Chosen Ones from America’s flyover country?

Or...he can be right, but you can’t say “Amen” to the Truth because it’s Putin who said it, and affirming that he spoke the truth would be “kissing up”?

Are you serious or are you just piecing something together for The Onion?

Seems like Putin is trying to interfere with western democracies by making them democracies. He must not realize that our controllers prefer a hidden hand meritocracy where merit is defined as being them.

The Russians don’t have to meddle for the same reason the American Communist Party stopped nominating candidates. The Liberals have adopted every one of their political planks in their official platform.

I have been married for over 45 years. There is nothing I haven't been called by the wife or fellow conservatives. Conservatives are cannibals

I don’t really trust Putin’s motivation in making these observations but that does not make him wrong about them. He’s absolutely correct. Seems to me that those who are most worried about Putin would stop advocating political actions that provide him such opportunities, though. But they don’t.

You don’t really think that the Rats are worried about Putin, do you? They’re just using him as the boogeyman to get Trump.

“I do not trust President Putin.”

Fine. But to fail to acknowledge when he’s telling the manifest truth?

That’s not a lack of trust; that’s the sort of misbegotten adherence to political alignment that has the American left stuck on stupid, putting their political agenda ahead of this country.

Your inability to simply say, “Putin is right,” because it was Putin speaking is the selfsame misprioritization of politics before Truth that daily earns the left a hail of rotten tomatoes.
