You’ve got a point. I’d reached a point where I don’t share anything with her on a personal level.
One less issue they can run on in 2020?
Less patriots will die needlessly to support and subsidize elitist investments in the American war machine?
More patriots who will stand against them and bury them alive, kicking, screaming and crying like little bitches in vain with each shovel of dirt in their face when they make their move and fail?
She is thus a dangerous, blind follower of the new hate. A loon - no, much more dangerous. A part of the rabid cabal of destruction necessary to create the new order. In time she and her comrades may need to be put down unless you want to end up like the Jews in Germany.
Matt Taibbi may still have a case of TDS, but otherwise this is a brilliant piece, agreeing totally with President Trump’s announced withdrawals from Syria and Afghanistan, and mocking the perpetual-war-loving neocons from the left and right, including the war-mongering FakeNewsMSM.
from the comments on FR, it seems people have not even read the article.

Things are moving fast....Trump does have a plan. KSA just started moving troops into Syria to take the baton. Kurdish leaders were in France yesterday securing more French troops as well. Jordan, UAE, Iraq, and Israel are also involved. Our troops are coming home from Syria and Afghanistan. I believe we will be ending our air strikes in Yemen as well. Keep watching, with an open mind.

This writer still hasn’t seen a doctor for his TDS.

This is a cowardly article and does a disservice to the desired outcome and view held by the same author. He can’t help but defame and disparage our President in all things but the one he vehemently agrees with. It goes to kick the bucket from underneath that prospect too. We have an actual fighter against the corrupt establishment that is actually producing real results, but some people just can’t help themselves even at the expense of the views and policies they hold dear. Sad. Really sad.

Well, the clown was actually making some sense... but had to couch his support of Trump’s move with a classless smear (of course)... yes, those who promise and deliver are clearly madmen... yeah right!

“Trump dumped on basically every segment of the political establishment en route to Washington, running on a classic authoritarian strategy bash the elites, pose as a populist.”
The elites *are* the authoritarians. And what’s wrong with populism? It’s been ages since we had a leader speak up for the people. I rather like the idea myself!
Matt Taibi’s been eating the ‘shrooms again.
My impression of liberals is that their core beliefs are much deeper than those they publicly espouse. They can and do change their surface beliefs on a dime. All it takes is for their leaders (gurus) to state a different belief, and they are all over it, seemingly without even an awareness that they had promoted the exact opposite belief previously.
Their core beliefs are not pro- or anti- any issue that you can think of. Those "pro" or "anti" sentiments that they express are merely means to an end. As far as I can tell, the only unshakeable core belief that they truly have is a desire for power. They genuinely believe that if their gurus gain absolute power over everyone's lives, they, too, will have absolute power. Why else do they speak of so many things in terms of "empowerment" while terms related to freedom, responsibility, etc., are not even part of their vocabulary?
Isaiah 44:18 KJV: They have not known nor understood: for he hath shut their eyes, that they cannot see; [and] their hearts, that they cannot understand.
In about 4 months !

Yes, that’s right - except they don’t think of it that way. Their core belief (based on fantasy) is that the “collective”, i.e., the state, is superior to the individual in every way. Individuals are selfish, weak and blind, while the collective is generous, strong and all-knowing.
Of course, the Leftist’s supposed trust in the state is exposed as hypocricy whenever non-Leftists are put in charge. The state is only “good” when they are in charge of it.
So yes, power is what they are really after, but they are mostly unaware of it - they really do believe they are the good guys.
Don’t pay any attention. It’s only Rolling Stone.
Yeah. He litters the article with reassuring Trump-bashing for their base, but what he’s saying is “Trump’s Not Wrong,” and that’s a message that has to be laden with a LOT of sugar for their type to swallow.
Re:Lenin’s question- Who, Whom? or who is to rule whom. That is what matters.
I came to the conclusion some years ago that conservatives have principles, but liberals just have goals. They have no core beliefs at all, from what I can tell. They have goals. They embrace whatever belief supports their goals, and if that belief is no longer useful, it's dropped without a glance or a blink.
He is a bump in the road. After he is gone the march to the Socialist Utopia and the killing of the opposition will resume in full. There is no detour, really. The Utopians own the Education system, the Press, and Entertainment. They thus own the Culture. Half of the population will march blindly to their lead. Most of the rest will follow with a sense of foreboding but will follow. We cannot undo technology short of a nuclear war or an asteroid collision that wipes our civilization and technology, the Holy Algotithm must rule. America and Switzerland developed as they did because their founding populations were individuals who broke free of the clan and feudal cultures that subsumed the rest of the civilized world. It can’t be done again unless an appreciable number of misfits and adventurers can go to another planet and start again. There are no new lands on Earth that can be conquered unmolested by Established systems.
Then maybe we should not speak of core liberal beliefs at all. Perhaps the proper term would be “core motives.”
Anytime Rolling Stone says “GOOD” about a Trump decision, get ready for the days of flames and the Second Coming.
“Core motives” sounds about right.
