Yes. I have noticed over the many years of watching the liberal mind at work, there is a distinct tendency toward a sort of Munchausen Syndrome driven by virtue signalling. I first saw it during one of the many concocted "missile crises" back in the 80's. A Lutheran pastor proudly (yes proudly-- it was unmistakable) announced that his young son would have a panicky reaction if he saw so much as a rocket lifting a weather satellite on the evening news.

This self righteous preacher obviously had traumatized his own child, just as this idiot mother has abused her children with scarey stories of alarm and feeling helpless to stop catastrophe when it hit.

I think it is a small but atrocious side skirmish in the lefties' war against their own children.
