Nostalgic for the Soviet Union?

Let’s see.....

The dissolution of the Soviet Union occurred about 3 decades ago. People born since then would be around 30 years old and younger. Then, those that were 20 or leas when the dissolution occurred would comprise perhaps 20-30% of the population at the time. Taken together, those 50 years of age and younger would make for more than half of the people in the country, and would not know what they would be nostalgic about.

Somebody is playing very loosely with statistics.

adorno, if you go to Russia in person and stay awhile, you will understand the personality cults and idealization of the USSR returned after the 90s. The collapse of the USSR and breed of freedom and capitalism which defined Russia in the 90s was shocking and traumatic.
