But last week was a watershed moment for me, and I think for many Americans, including some Republicans.

What was the watershed moment? I refuse to give the failing NY Times any hits.

“”has always paid extra to stabilize the global system from which we were the biggest beneficiary””

I can’t answer your question because I’m still trying to figure out just what benefits we got/get from all his palavering...”we’re the biggest beneficiary?” WOW! I guess that was for all the monies paid back to us for sending aid to countries around the world. WITH INTEREST!

As to watershed moments - there were so many according to him. He said the US disengaged from the world in the 1930’s and we got WWII in return. Don’t know where he studied history or did he? He grudgingly agreed with some of the actions Trump has taken..

I especially liked the ending - you would think he never saw a REAL grifter in the WH before.

“”If America starts to behave as a selfish, shameless, lying grifter like Trump, you simply cannot imagine how unstable — how disruptive — world markets and geopolitics may become.””

Probably the apparently impromptu withdraw from Syria and accelerated exit of Mattis.

Reagan’s “tear down this wall” was practically impromptu as well, and his greatest moment.
