Before she was the second woman ever appointed to the Supreme Court and the “Notorious RBG,” Ruth Bader Ginsburg was a wife, mother, and frustrated lawyer who dreamed of leaving her mark on the world. On the Basis of Sex, a suitably inspiring biopic despite its narrative unevenness and occasional reliance on schmaltz, seeks to show audiences the origin story of a cultural icon.
The story follows Ginsburg (a quietly ferocious Felicity Jones) from her days as a first-year student at Harvard Law School to her graduation at the top of her class at Columbia to her time as a professor at Rutgers Law. The movie’s meatiest portion, however, focuses on a career-defining tax code case in 1970 that would cement a lifetime dedication to fighting for gender equality and civil liberties, beginning with co-founding the Women’s Rights Project at the ACLU.
“Notorious RBG” is the cringiest, most try-hard meme of all time.

If it was on the basis of sex why did RBG try to get rid of the words that differentiated the sexes?
First they tell us there is no difference then they tell us to celebrate some for being women.

The number of times they cut to a young Justice Scalia, cackling with evil glee at some new, treacherous legal measure is pretty amazing.
I don’t like it, but that’s not the point:
It’s so over-the-top that Scalia is barely recognizable.
The character template they use to portray Cheney’s wife, Lynn, is clearly HILLARY, just made Conservative.
They wish ill on everyone, and as a stand-in for sex, she and Cheney induldge in weird Grand Visions of Nefarious Plots as bed talk.
The tempo and ferocity of it —the political bed talk— is something they render in clearly sexual terms.
She is only a “cultural icon” to people who are idiots that do not understand what the proper roles of law and the judiciary are.
So, she is the result of “top of her class at Columbia”?
Sounds like Columbia’s law school was a joke.

I wish her no ill, but I loathe, despise, and expectorate on her.
Yup. Gotta sent her up for sainthood so the next couple of Jeff Flakes in the Senate can be pressured to go wobbly on her successor.
Mittens will be the one holding the power, with the Abortion Twins, Collins and Murkowski, solidly against any pro-life nominee.

Build her up enough so her successor will need to be a cookie cutter replacement.
The media lefties have realized it’s time to start creating a legacy for her so up and coming young libs can have some glorious ideal to guide them, just like the back benchers in journalism who dream of being Woodward and Bernstein
