You need to check out your history. We would not exist as a country had it not been for the French. There were more Frenchmen at Yorktown than there were Americans. The French Fleet defeated the English fleet and blocked the Chesapeake Bay, cutting off Cornwallis’ escape. The French have been at our side in war more than any other country Including the Brits. As far as snooty and full of self importance, no people on earth can match the British. That includes during the Second WW when they accused our soldiers of being “Useless,” to quote Montgomery. Thank the Lord we had Patton to put them in their place.
They were with us in Desert Storm and according to my son, a Marine, they were the only troops of the coalition “who knew what the hell they were doing.”
The French have given the world great men and women throughout history as have the Scots. They are currently revolting against their president another “One World Order” adherent. We have nothing to brag about. We elected Obama. Twice! Macron has all he can do to survive.
Not a single thing you posted (ranted?) about changes what I said about the French (I am part French, so get over it already!). I don’t disagree with Brits also being arrogant, but that doesn’t change the facts, either. Maybe the French military does have their act together, I don’t know, I didn’t witness them in the sandbox, but their politician’s attitude in general is what I said it was. You sound like a ‘Francophile’ so I doubt your openmindedness. I notice when you took that stroll down history lane you didn’t mention their actions in WWII, but I guess that didn’t fit your saintly image of them. If we didn’t go to war against the germans, they’d STILL be speaking german in France.
Nevertheless, I maintain what I said: let them have the new UN, pony up the cash, and tell themsleves that they still matter. (and you can contune to love them if you wish - I don’t give a rip)
