“...barrier with Turkey-backed fighters nearby.”
************************************
“Turkey-backed fighters” = confederation of Islamist militias

Turkey-backed Syrian rebels stationed in nearby territory said they had begun moving together with Turkish forces toward the town in readiness for “the start of military operations to liberate” it.

The Turkey/ISIS Terrorist coalition attacking the Kurds and the Internationally recognized Government of Syria on Syrian soil, LOL what is NATO to do?

Good for the Syrians. There was never any legitimate reason for the US under Obola and the Witch to try to overthrow Assad in the first place. All we were likely to get if we “won” was a hideous anti-American blood bath where the moderately irritating Assad would have been replaced by an ISIS bunch who made mad dogs look like lap poodles. Of course, that was probably exactly what Obola and the Witch wanted. Now it looks like Assad’s going to protect the Kurds to protect himself from the Islamist Turks, meaning our upcoming withdrawl from Syria will do us nothing but good.

Personally, I don’t give a rat’s rectum about what goes on over there.

However, if the muzzies come over her to blow things up, there will be hell to pay.

Well done to the Kurds! The best army over there that defeated ISIS while the Russians and Regime are bombing children.

Most likely the Syrian forces are there to participate in an attack West against Turk occupation.
With Russian air cover Syria can drive Turks and allies from Aleppo and Idlib.
Turkey could only hold a 10 or 15 mile strip near their border. Maybe Afrin too, maybe not.

What a concept....give Syrian territory back to Syria, and whomever they invite to support them. We were invaders in Syria, without any justification whatsoever for being there any longer.

"after the Kurdish YPG militia urged Damascus to protect the town, where U.S. forces operate, from the threat of a Turkish offensive. "

So much for sticking around to protect the Kurds. If Turkey wants to have a war with the Kurds, Syrians, and the Russians they can do it on their own.
