Seguin Police arrested an armed man who they said was allegedly going to a church to "fulfill" a "prophecy" on Sunday morning. Tony Albert, 33, was arrested and booked into the Guadalupe County Jail. Officers responded to the 2400 block of Kingsbury St. at 7 a.m. after receiving reports of a man carrying a handgun. When an off-duty police officer arrived, he saw a man wearing tactical style clothing and a surgical face shield carrying a loaded gun with extra ammunition. The officer was on her way home from work at the time. Police said during the investigation they discovered Albert was on his way to an unidentified church to fulfill what he called a prophecy. He is charged with possession of marijuana and of a firearm.

Turns out the prophecy needed fulfilling involved him, and a social visit to the Texas Department of Corrections.
