Trump is highly sensitive to the concerns of his base on this.
He went into the shutdown because of that.
He needs to know there is massive support for him on this and he will keep up the heat.
If he folds after a long shutdown 2020 will be a Democrat blowout. He is pretty sharp and knows all this. We are not privy to his aims here or his tactics. Whatever they be they will be good for the country.
There hasn't been a single demonstration by any of his base. NADA. yes we work and they don't...or they give workers and teachers off work to protest. But NOTHING?? Ridiculous. surely we can do better than that
