Not only would he not be re-elected, the country would be done as a nation.
Disaster was set in motion with the Immigration and Naturalization Act of 1965. We needed to build a wall in 1986 when President Reagan asked for stronger borders as quid pro quo for his amnesty cave.
Building a wall today will stop nothing. Not building a wall, however, will demoralize Trump's base and that's what the true objective here for the Democrats is to do.
Keep in mind that before Ann’s last outburst last month Trump said the wall was pretty much built and he could find the additional money elsewhere (therefore there was really no need to shut the government down). Then Ann’s scathing article came out and trump suddenly said he wouldn’t sign the govt funding without the wall money.
The point being that he responds to Ann, Limbaugh, etc.
She could very well be saying he is going to cave to keep him from doing it.
One thing about trump, he has no hesitation in announcing victory and moving on, whether there really is a victory or not. So it is not out of the world to suggest that he already has won. Like he did about Mexico paying for the wall.
And no, I am not an anti trumper. Just a very accurate historian of actions.

But...he has already folded on spending and reversed his “immedidate declassification” of the FISA docs. I support Trump but predict he’ll fold on the wall and find a way to say it was a win. Kind of like the way he’s saying Mexico is paying for the wall when we all know it isn’t and won’t.
Of course he can. We can certainly pray he doesn't but he certainly can. He keeps bringing up a trade, wall for dreamers, and that, to me, is a sure sign of weakness.
