New York City residents have a new option for denoting gender on their birth certificates: gender "X."
A law allowing the choice of "X'' took effect Tuesday. The measure passed earlier this year.
It allows people to change their birth certificates to "X'' by attesting that it reflects their "true gender identity." Parents also can choose "X'' for newborns.
New York City is joining California, Oregon, Washington state in allowing an undesignated gender option on birth certificates. A similar provision takes effect in New Jersey in February.
In 2014, New York City eliminated a policy that allowed birth certificate gender changes only if people underwent gender reassignment surgery.
Instead, the city required an attestation from a medical or mental health professional. The new law nixes that requirement.

The federal government should deny anyone with this type of birth certificate a passport.

To me it means they have sicko leftist parents who care more about their own ideology than the future well-being of their child. And more than likely, they indoctrinated the brains of their child with idiotic leftist swill. I wouldn’t hire such an unfortunate puke. An unintended side effect of this will be people will be able to change their identities and screw up data bases.

After Calif started handing out driver licenses to illegals, they quickly depreciated as a form of valid ID. It didn't take long for the Feds to disallow Calif and other states who had didn't have firm control over the ID process. The net result was that the Feds implemented a "Real ID" system based on passport credentials, which means the std CA DL can't be used for travel/fed ID purposes. However, if you bring all your proper docs, CA has a second type of DL (that simply mirrors the old DL ID requirements) that satisfies fed ID requirements.
Point of all this? The funky birth certs issued by states like CA, NY et al are all fine & dandy for intra-state purposes; each to his own. But what happens when it comes time to apply for a passport or any other form of Fed ID requirements, such as a security clearance? Can we say medical exam to render a definitive M/F decision?
So, imagine this scenario: person A, who comes from a normal state/family, sails through the prelim ID requirements. However, person B, who unfortunately had freaks for parents, now has to schedule a medical exam just to qualify for round 1 of a normal Fed ID process. Think they'll be thanking their parents?
