PLEASE, NO MORE 'BORDER SECURITY
Ann Coulter Dot Com ^ | 2 Jan 2019 | Ann Coulter

The media are trying to convince Trump that if he abandons the wall, he'll be a statesman, so that as soon as he folds, they can start making fun of him as an untrustworthy liar.

Everyone knows that we can never have a secure border without an impermeable barrier -- something like a wall -- across all of it. The Democrats know it, the voters know it, and the millions of illegals hurtling toward our border like cannonballs know it.

The Democrats' latest idea is to call a wall "immoral, ineffective and expensive."

If they think a wall is "immoral," then they're admitting it's effective. An ineffective wall would merely be a place for illegals to stop and get a little shade before continuing their march into the United States.

Democrats' backup argument is to cite -- every four minutes on MSNBC -- Trump's claim that Mexico would pay for the wall. We're all baffled by Trump not having already taxed remittances to Mexico to pay for the wall (100 percent within the president's authority under various banking regulations), but if we're going to start listing the promises Trump hasn't kept, this is going to be a long column

This probably isn't true and that's the reason why.

More Central Americans here illegally right now flew here on planes. They are on expired tourist visas.

**************

The Far East leads the numbers in VISA overstays.

An estimated 40 percent of the roughly 11 million people
in the country illegally stayed past their visas.

701,900 overstays from October 2016 through September 2017

739,478 overstays from October 2015 through September 2016,

No argument. Overstayed visas from everywhere far outweigh the border crossers. Both are unacceptable.

To think that after Mohamed Atta, we still don’t enforce the ends of visas, is insane. My son is going to study in Tokyo next week, and when his semester is over, the Japanese will all but escort him to his plane home. Some people take immigration seriously.

In those days Matt along with many others like Lucianne Goldberg, Ann Coulter, etal were all stars here.

I read some of the threads these days in wonderment about the meteoric demise of once FR heroes.

Because their agenda is for anyone and everyone to be allowed to waltz right in. So that is why it is “immoral” to keep anyone out. Funny how the left worries about morals, and even Bible passages when it suits their agenda. All over Facebook...it is downright un Christian and immoral to even try to keep illegals out and enforce our immigration laws.

Where are their morals and Bibles when abortion is the issue?

Do you have a source for that information that specifically more Central Americans are currently coming here by plane with VISAs than illegally crossing the border? It is not what I am hearing.

We are currently following through on VISA overstays and others that came here legally and are now here illegally. They are being gathered up and deported. The media refuses to report that because it would make Trump look good to those of us that elected him to do this.
The only time it is reported by the media is if there is a sympathetic story they hope will tug at heartstrings to get people to call for an end to it. The sad stories about people who came here and tried to do it the legal way, and somehow they didn’t manage to keep legal...have been here for years- who do you think those people are? Previously they were not followed up on but that is no longer the case.

We do need to have a wall and increased security on our border, those crossing there are far more likely to be criminals. We also need to and currently are going after illegals already here- those that came here legally and did not remain that way and those that came here illegally.

So, I guess Mme Pelosi wouldn’t mind if an illegal broke into her own home and squatted there, declaring that they were doing the ‘moral’ thing, and demanding that she provide food, housing, medical care, &c. gratis.

What’s the difference?

The only difference is I am quite sure she has enough security to make sure that doesn’t happen. She just doesn’t want us to have security.

But, if it DID happen, would she have the offender carted off to jail - or would she demand that they be accorded ‘sanctuary’ rights and taken to some shelter somewhere?

I suspect she’d just call the police, and not give a darn what happened to the illegal after.

After all, she lives in a world where there are ‘rights for ME but not for Thee’.

The person who said it was immoral funds abortions and goes to communion and has a wall around her property

I don’t have a source for it but I know they don’t enforce student or tourist visas very well. People just disappear. I have read that even from central America more come in by air etc.

I’d like to see your references for us doing better at enforcing visa limits. I’d love to believe it.

“We’re all baffled by Trump not having already taxed remittances to Mexico to pay for the wall (100 percent within the president’s authority under various banking regulations),”

On this she’s right.

But that’s the nuclear option. Every government south of the Rio Grande would collapse in days.

I say let’s do it.
