I agree. But it's dangerous to have a member of Congress even proposing these things. She does have a position of power now... and she is not alone in her radical thinking.
Well, only because this deranged voice would in normal circumstances be brought to heel on the floor of the house by the opposition. Unfortunately, these days, the "opposition" is the deservedly out of power party of Ryan, McCain, Flake and fellow travelers. A potted plant would get more votes than Occasional Kotex, but our beloved GOPeers can't rise to the level of intelligence or attractiveness of a potted plant.
I mean they're still hammering on reparations to correct the slavery issue and have been since John Conyers was in diapers. Never going anywhere.
I don't know how much "power" you thinks she has, but she thinks she got a lot more than she actually has.
She's a newbie, back-bencher and will find this politics stuff is not just winning with some brain-dead millennials in the Bronx. She'll have to wait her turn to get anything done.
And it won't be big-sweeping changes to the government her first time around.
Not at all. Her views are those shared by many millions of liberal Millennials. They don't drive. They're not buying homes. They owe thousands in student loans and work at Starbucks. Tax the rich? They're all for it. $8/gallon gas? They don't care.
People who say AOC is an idiot and her ideas will never go anywhere ought to think again. She may be but one sole congresswoman but she's getting a lot of press. She's probably the 3rd most talked about politician in the country, right behind Nancy Pelosi and President Trump.
Agree. Look at what we thought of Obama in the early days. Never underestimate those who will "help" with a clear conscience as they kill or enslave us.
