Is the media’s Elizabeth Warren coverage repeating the same mistakes of 2016?

Just a few days into 2019, some Democrats and media critics are seeing ghosts of the type of 2016 campaign coverage they say sunk Hillary Clinton. And now it’s haunting Elizabeth Warren.

Shortly after the 2016 election, a Harvard study on the media’s campaign coverage found that policy — what Clinton and Donald Trump would actually do as president — accounted for just 10 percent of their overall news coverage. In the case of both candidates, their policies were by far overshadowed by coverage about the “horse race” and their “alleged scandals.”

Follow-up research concurred that the coverage disproportionately focused on Clinton’s use of a private email server as secretary of state, even compared to Trump’s numerous controversies. Another analysis last year found that in “in just six days, The New York Times ran as many [front-page] stories about Hillary Clinton’s emails as they did about all policy issues combined in the 69 days leading up to the election.”

So in other words, “we have pretty much beaten the poop out of Trump’s alleged scandals and can now be sanctimonious by ignoring the fact that Elizabeth Warren claimed to be of Native American heritage. Of course, if a new Trump scandal arises we will pivot to that.”

Well said.

Of course, it also doesn’t help Warren that she has no charisma (like Hillary)

Too much negative press sunk Hillary? Is this satire? So they’re saying wrongdoing isn’t the problem but media coverage is? Are they listening to themselves?

Wait till she goes South and declares ...”I AIN’T IN NO WAYS TARRED!”

But can she skin a deer, tan the hide with the brains, chew the leather into soft robes and moccasins?

the coverage disproportionately focused on Clinton’s use of a private email server as secretary of state

As opposed to *why* she used a private server and *why* she risked obstruction of justice charges to erase her hard drives in the face of subpoenas. And they never bothered to ask *why* the FBI never took possession of her server, or *why* the FBI doled out immunity to her entire staff without getting anything in return.

Democrat media thinks Hillary lost on style when she actually lost on substance.

Democrats won last year by lying about everything and now they’re discovering Trump is one tough hombre.

The year didn’t open like they thought it would.

Elizabeth Warren took unfair advantage of ‘power’ given to disadvantaged groups... it gave her a shortcut to power that more ethical people didn’t chose to use...

That’s a lot bigger deal than ‘does she believe in giving taxpayer money away to medical doctors... for bogus ‘health care’... cause ALL the liberals believe in that...

“Is the media’s Elizabeth Warren coverage repeating the same mistakes of 2016?”

In other words, is the media going to again screw up how they go about getting a Rat elected?

They advertise their blatant bias in headlines and don’t even realize it!

““The media should reflect on what it got wrong last time: principally, its tendency to skew the balance between perceived scandal and substantive policy talk,” wrote the Columbia Journalism Review. “Warren’s candidacy, in particular, recalls some familiar pitfalls for the press: for ‘Hillary’s emails’ see ‘DNA test,’ for ‘crooked Hillary’ see ‘Pocahontas,’ for ‘cold and unlikable’ see ‘cold and unlikable.’””

In other words, the lying leftist fake stream enemedia needs to shift even further into leftist propaganda land in order to more effectively promote their leftist candidates ... you know, like how they did it for Obama, hiding any and all negative information about him ...

You see the media made a “mistake” critizing Hildabeast, because everybody knows they wanted her elected, so if that’s what you want you don’t want to critize her at all.

They naively and mistakenly went against their self interest

"Silver said that while Warren “showed poor judgement,” the press was treating a “minor story” like a “major crisis.”"

By this rationality, it's fine that fauxcahontas lied throughout her life and career to get ahead.

A typical liberal justification.

According to this article: In 2016, “policy...accounted for just 10 percent of their [the media’s] overall news coverage.”

And most of the other 90 percent was devoted to bashing Donald Trump.

No wonder Elizabeth Warren is having trouble getting her presidential fiasco started. Donald Trump has been bashed and continues to be bashed day after day, so there’s no reason for more personal bashing by Elizabeth Warren — a woman whose credibility has been destroyed to the point of being mocked as Pocohantas even by the liberal media. So she must find another theme for her candidacy.

So she’s come up with Drinking Beer in Public.

Let’s hope this works, because she’d be the dream candidate for Donald Trump to run against in 2020.

I love the term — the media is “making mistakes” b/c they lead to hiLIARy’s (and eventually fauxahontas’) loss.

You see, anything that might interfere with the desired outcome is “a mistake.”

It has nothing to do with the facts (which were dead on and mostly ignored by the msm). It has to do with the resulting outcome.

It takes some guts or stupidity to ADMIT that bias is baked in.

Silly print media, the TV coverage is all about ratings, it’s not gonna change.
