SEEK TO KNOW GOD BETTER

[For my determined purpose is] that I may know Him [that I may progressively become more deeply and intimately acquainted with Him, perceiving and recognizing and understanding the wonders of His Person more strongly and more clearly]. — Philippians 3:10

This was the cry of the apostle Paul’s heart as he sought to have such a deep relationship with Christ that the trials of life would barely be noticeable.

At the beginning of this new year, it is a wise thing for you to seek also. There are plenty of problems in life that can weigh you down and cause you to become discouraged, but God wants to provide the strength and power you need to be victorious in every battle of life. Such a relationship requires that you seek God like never before.

So start this year right by becoming more deeply and intimately acquainted with the One who has all power in heaven and earth.

Today I ventured forth to visit with a BFF who befriended me in 1963 (!) in the sixth grade. We both had the same piano teacher, and have been friends for over a half century.

I drove to her home and then we went out for really good Chinese Food, and then went shopping at all the After Christmas Sales. It started raining really hard, and after I dropped her off at her home, it was white-knuckle driving, complete with flash floods, fog, and car wrecks (not mine) for 26 miles down the INFAMOUS Route 128.

Home safe and sound, in my jammies and ready for bed.

I slipped and fell on some wet flagstones and landed on my knees and hand, so I’m achy all over right now.

Penny went out in the rain, did her business, and ran back to the house. She was NOT amused.

Howdy, radu! Hope this has been a drier day for you for a change! It was pretty here. Still in the 50s. The kittehs sure enjoyed it!

They went on high alert at breakfast time this morning.
No idea what they saw or heard! LOL!

Glad they finally had a sunny warm day to enjoy.

We finally had one too! Sunny and mid 50s. They SAY low 60s tomorrow and Monday but clouds move in tomorrow and there’s a slight chance for rain Monday. :-(

Oh no...banged up knees AND a white knuckle drive. Hope you had a good time with you BFF.

Glad you are home safe and sound. Rest those knees, but keep a little movement.

Howdy, E.G.C. ((HUGZ))

Did you have another decent day for a lake run?

We finally had sunshine! It looked strange seeing shadows on the ground. LOL

Yesterday was really decent. We saw a couple of people with boats out fishing. Also saw some people playing golf.

Gizmo hung out around the tree stumps looking for bird bones. We had a great time.

Must have been a pretty nice day if folks were out on their boats.

It was a tad cool for that here but still nice just because the sun was shining. It’s been cloudy for what seems forever.

Lots of wood to warm me two or three times. Got a large print Bible and two dogs to exercise me. Life is good.

That happened to me once.I tripped over a curb and could not move. Two customers helped me into the thrift store and laid me down and called my daughter to come pick me up.It was Mother and daughter and the Mother is a nurse. She checked me over for broken bones. Then they began singing spiritual songs while we waited.I thought this is unreal.I was out of work for a week.
