Residents who owned any of the “illegal’ firearms before June 15th, 2018 could grandfather their guns in the city’s “This-Is-Not-A-Registry” program and get a certificate. This program ended on Dec.31.

Until they finally decided to call a Spade a Spade and now call it handgun registration.

IMO the NRA...and others...should be fighting various state and local laws connected to the 2nd Amendment in Federal court.With the help of God, Ruth Buzzi Ginsburg will be assuming room temperature soon so SCOTUS will be 6-3 "pro Constitution".
I say this partially having examined with some care a SCOTUS decision from a few years ago called "Caetano v Massachusetts".In the decision SCOTUS struck down...9-0...a decision by the Massachusetts Supreme Court that was in direct and blatant defiance of the 2nd Amendment as well as in blatant defiance of Heller v District of Columbia.

I would have just asked for 43 certificates without showing anything... it isn’t a registry so give me the certificates... then I guess I have no guns...

I’ve spent many a sleepless night lately wondering what our new Cali style legislature has in store for us here in Colorado. Many people are still of the mindset ‘if we show them what nice guys we are and give them facts they won’t take our guns’.
