Well, according to this report, not necessarily true:

“They aired President George W. Bush’s prime-time address in 2006, but did not air President Barack Obama’s prime-time immigration address in 2014.”

So there is that. I rarely watched anything concerning obxxx.

By 2014 no one was interested in listening to Obama anymore and the networks knew it quite well.

There was not a day of his 8 years squatting in the white house that BHO was not deified on TV by the MSM.

And now, the REST of the story, via The Washington Post.

Why the major networks didn’t give President Obama primetime real estate for his immigration speech

[snip]

Most people did not watch this primetime address. The White House floated  the idea of running the speech at 8 p.m. by the major networks, and were greeted with little more than a "Mmm, no thanks."

ABC, NBC, Fox and CBS knew that their customers would not be happy if the President ate into time reserved for some of the most popular shows on television, including "The Big Bang Theory" and "Bones." (Editor's Note: If I wasn't watching Obama's speech, I'd be watching "The This Old House Hour.")

November happens to be "sweeps" month, when programming tries and encourage more viewers to turn in by promising more exciting content. Presidential sweeps don't always ensure the exciting cliffhangers and plot twists that networks are looking for.

Those were non emergencies. Here we have a national emergency announcement. He has the power to sieze the networks and shut down the internet. He won’t but they have a patriotic duty to carry this speech.

Most likely because they knew the ratings would tank during the Obama’s speech. Tomorrow would be anything but that.

Me either, I even muted commercials or any reporting where he was talking. His voice is like nails on chalkboard to me
