President Trump conceded that a wall is a "medieval" solution to the border, but said it still works. The president made the remarks in his first public appearance since Tuesday night's prime-time address, during a bill signing at the White House.
Some people, the president said, call a border wall a "medieval solution" to the situation at the southern border, but they used walls at that time because they worked.
"They say it's a medieval solution, a wall. It's true because it worked then and it works even better now," the president said.

When something has been used for a long, long time, and has not become obsolete, then obviously there’s a reason for that! Stupid people.
If you want to stop people going from one area to another, something has to be placed there to stop them. I suppose a moat would work, but I can just see the press he’d get when the crocodiles start chowing down on kids. Drones that shoot people might work, but who is responsible for picking up the bodies? Sometimes the simple solution is the best. Build the wall.
They use walls in prisons. Seems to work satisfactorily.

We could use modern technology to have GPS-enabled, bee-sized drones embed themselves in each of the illegal border-crossers and then have ICE/CBP track them down using GPS.
A less medieval solution might be for the US government to hire bounty hunters to capture then to deport the millions or aliens who have claimed asylum but then failed to show for their court dates. The bounty hunters might be paid $500.00 taken from the seized properties of the illegal aliens being deported.
The wheel was a pre- medievil solution.

This is not rocket science.
I'd pay the bounty hunters double that amount: $500.00 taken from the seized properties of the illegal aliens being deported. plus $500 taken from the employers of those few illegals who work instead of committing crimes or collecting welfare.
Trump is wrong. It’s not a medieval solution. It’s an ancient and PROVEN solution. We’ve been using walls ever since we’ve had civilization. And when they’re built well, they work.
Also, we’re still using lots of ancient solutions for everyday tasks. Knives. Forks and spoons. Bowls. Shovels. THE FREAKING WHEEL.
A medieval solution would be to invade Mexico and kill 30% of the population.
After Israel put up their wall, they reduced illegal crossings into their country by 99 percent. My, my, my.
Huge, imposing and strong walls will protect Americans. Walls will also convey a very clear message that ILLEGAL INVADERS WILL NOT BE TOLERATED; invaders will be sent back to where they came from.
Dear illegal invaders: Don’t bother trying to get into our country. We will stop you, we will catch you, we will imprison you, we will deport you. Go home, leave us alone. You’re wasting everyone’s time.

The left and media's crap about the price tag or saying it "won't work" is bologna. They simply do not believe their own B.S. when it comes to this. The reality is they're terrified to death that a fence/wall would be effective, and drastically reduce the number of illegal entries from our southern border. That's the entire reason for their hysterics.
What a loaded headline. The msm in this country has gone too far. Twisting a positive assessment of the effectiveness of walls to sound as if Trump admits he wrong. They truly are the enemy of truth and the American people.
