My house has vulnerable door and window entrees. That doesn’t mean I am going to take the doors down or leave the windows open. They are a line of defense and they must be maintained. Idiots at NBC.

All houses have walls, and they aren’t just to hold up rooves, or for climate control. They are there to help keep you safer. All houses are vulnerable if they have anything less than jail slats or bulletproof glass in the doors and windows. Butthat doesn’t stop us from wanting homes with walls.

The key word here is SAfer.

SAFER is the best we can expect from any barrier on the border.

Items can be passed through between the bars. Small items like drugs and money if small enough packages are used. They can be saled over the top, too. Planes can fly below radar as well.

A wall still makes a big dent in people’s ability to come through, though. That with other technologies won’t be 100% foolproof, even prisons have their weak spots, but it still provides a safer environment.
