In my opinion, this would just tell others to illegally cross the border...If you do and wait long enough, the Americans will give in and give us amnesty too...
Give them DACA for any child brought into the country before 11:59pm, 12/31/18. In exchange we get full funding for the wall, an end to chain migration and a merit based immigration policy. And of course the government reopens.
