How does a Congressional vote to undo an emergency declaration work? Does it require a simple majority in each chamber? If so, and if 5 GOP senators defect as you predict, won’t the repeal pass?

Yes, once they overcome the Senate filibuster.

60 votes in the Senate to get it to a floor vote.

That means Dims need 13 defectors/traitors.

With all of us breathing down their necks, assuring them their political career is over should they vote wrong.

Won’t happen.

Not because they believe in this cause, because most are against it. But because they value their career above all else.
