Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg will miss next week’s court sessions and work from home, but her recovery from early-stage lung cancer surgery remains "on track" and no further treatment is needed, the court announced Friday.

“Justice Ginsburg will continue to work from home next week and will participate in the consideration and decision of the cases on the basis of the briefs and the transcripts of oral arguments. Her recovery from surgery is on track,” Supreme Court public information officer Kathy Arberg said in a statement. “Post-surgery evaluation indicates no evidence of remaining disease, and no further treatment is required,” she said.

This is what it looks like so far. Someone reliable needs to do a welfare check on her. I think she is now permanently incapacitated.

Exactly.

You just dont go through all of this, at that age, and dont require any additional treatment.

It means that further treatment is not going to be beneficial.

She will never be seen in public again.

Aw, but she's such a photogenic planker.

“As long as she doesn’t participate in hearing the arguments, she shouldn’t be allowed to vote or rule on the case.”

But they say the rules say that she can do it from home. Which is wrong. What is really happening is that her aids are doing all the work and making all the decisions.

This is so wrong! If you can’t make it in to the Court you shouldn’t be on the Court! These people are evil to their core!

Well, she’s either doing quite well and will return soon, or the government is misleading us.

To: Tell It Right

In the episode Spock’s Brain, widely regarded as the worst episode of ST, ever, space bimbos steal his brain to run their underground complex.

It was SO bad.

Spock, the Controller, operates the essential systems of the Eymorgs’ underground complex, recirculating the air, running heating plants, and purifying water, among other things.
Kara informs them that the new Controller is expected to last 10,000 years.
She also reveals that the skills needed to acquire and install the Controller were provided by a machine called the “Teacher”, and that knowledge so obtained lasts no more than three hours.
Kirk forces Kara to use the Teacher again, hoping she can then be persuaded to restore Spock’s brain.
She refuses, instead threatening them with a phaser, which Kirk is able to take away.

McCoy decides to risk using the Teacher himself, and then quickly begins the procedure to restore Spock’s brain.
His new knowledge begins to leave him before the operation is complete, but Spock provides assistance after McCoy reestablishes his ability to speak.

Without their Controller, Kara fears for the Eymorgs’ existence. Kirk assures Kara that the Eymorgs and Morgs can learn to survive together.

You just dont go through all of this, at that age, and dont require any additional treatment.

If you do, it’s because any treatment is useless and
in fact makes your remaining time even worse.

I’d say it’s matter of months at best.

So they are REALLY doing this. Her clerk will write her opinions/dissents for the next year and then retire on Jan 1, 2020

I wonder if this would be obvious to those who study SCOTUS opinions in terms of writing style.

Unless Roberts plays along and doesn't assign any opinion writing to Ginsburg.

Does she have to put a physical signature on these decisions?
