Tillamook. Local politicians used to fight against UWV and CA values. State with held money for highways and stuff for as far back as I can remember. New crop of politicians are in full worship mode.
That is bad news. Y’all are much closer to Portland than Coos and Curry, which is probably worse than being near the California border, but I would expect that my old stomping grounds will not be too far behind you.
FWIW—my mother grew up in rural Lane County and I still have conservative family there. Unfortunately Lane has been a reliable bell whether for the future of Oregon for quite some time. Not very pretty unless you have figured out how to eat scenery.
