But the reality is Clinton was plenty likable at key moments in her career. Most notably, one of the main reasons the Democratic Party rallied around her so hard in 2014-15 is that when she was secretary of state, her approval ratings were far higher than Barack Obamas, and she was an in-demand midterms surrogate even in states where he was toxic. . . .
What brought Clinton down was public exposure not to her personality which was sparkling enough to make her the most admired woman in America for 17 years straight before losing the claim to Michelle Obama in 2018 but extended public scrutiny of every detail of a decades-long career in public life.
All of those most-admired polls should be taken with a grain of salt. To be the most admired woman in America, Michelle Obama had to be volunteered by 15 percent of respondents as the woman they most admire. If youre polarizing enough, you can be the modal answer while still being unpopular. Hillary Clinton was most admired last year with 9 percent. Gallup asked Americans if they had a favorable or unfavorable view of her twice last year, and 57 and 61 percent chose unfavorable in those polls.
Glancing over the last three decades of polling on Clinton, she had three peaks: when her husband was elected president for the first time and she enjoyed the traditional popularity of a First Lady; during the Lewinsky scandal, when she had public sympathy as a wronged wife; and when she was Secretary of State, a role that traditionally places people above partisan politics. I dont think most Americans ever thought of her personality as sparkling.

I’d like to see the “image” of her in shackles in a Fed SuperMax pondering her execution for being a traitor (all after a fair trial and conviction...of course).
or a skid mark on stairs all stairs ,LOL
Matthew Yglesias writesStopped right there.

Bullstalin
She was cast aside in 2008 and the press and Democrats were calling out both Clintons as racists. Bill Clinton even responded to the charges.
Describing Hillary as sparkling is like saying a septic system is sparkling.
The thing I never understood about that clip is why doesn’t her head move? She’s obviously out, but her head isn’t flopping around...
“Id like to see the image of her in shackles in a Fed SuperMax pondering her execution for being a traitor (all after a fair trial and conviction...of course).”
Better still, I’d like to see her “lying in state” in the Capitol Rotunda with a concrete block on top of her casket.
Ive watched your video quite a few times.
Look at her right arm.
Its locked up, too.
Both her arms are locked up.
Its not just her legs that are locked up.
Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha!
*gasp*
Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha!
Living proof of the miracles of modern medicine.
I OBJECT!
Such a statement cannot be taken seriously. At all. They willingly fool themselves with false polls.
Hillary maybe toxic in today’s political environment but she
still gets lots of print/media coverage. She may not be an
electable candidate for the democrats but her ability to get
funds/publicity etc. for the democrats remains there. Both
her and Bill have behind the scene strengths for the DEMS.
A real accomplishment!

As likable as a case of the clap.
